A Japanese-funded water filtration plant was in SITE town was inaugurated after its successful completion on Thursday by the Japanese Consul General in Karachi Masaharu Sato. A joint venture between Japan and Al-Khidmat Foundation, the water cleaning plant would facilitate about 15,000 residents in the underprivileged locality. According to a statement, the Japanese government has contributed approximately Rs 7.7 million for the installation of seven water filtration plants under Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects scheme.
The aid has funded the establishment of water filtration plants in the city’s seven most underprivileged areas of which three have already been launched including this project in the New Labour Colony of SITE Town. On the occasion, the Japanese Consul General wished that all the beneficiaries enjoy clean water at affordable prices and emphasised on the significance of supporting grassroots activities. “Japan strongly believes that this support in the essential field of development will improve the quality of life in the less privileged workers’ community.”
It is worth mentioning that the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects was established to assist the development sector and local public authorities in the Third World countries in responding to various development needs in a prompt manner.
The develop countries should assist the under develop countries in the manner of human safety with the help of providing the resources which needed in term of contaminated water, polluted emission also in land contamination.
It is very likely to us that Japanese are involve to solve these kind of matter.
THANKS.
