KARACHI: In a bizarre move to highlight the issue of increasing prices of vegetables, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) member Kamran Akhtar on Monday brought tomatoes to the Sindh Assembly and demanded to cut their prices as early as possible.

MQM leader, while addressing the session, bashed the incumbent government and sarcastically said that husbands are now gifting tomatoes to their wives as they have become so expensive.

Responding to Kamran Akhtar’s criticism, Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Sial assured to overcome the prices soon, after which the debate lasted for a while and then the normal proceedings were resumed.
