PNCA starts talent hunt programme

The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) arranged on Thursday a colourful programme entitled ‘Talent Hunt Discovery’ at the PNCA Auditorium. The event was held to explore talent in the country’s youth and promote performing arts in the federal capital.
PNCA DG Tauqir Nasir and CDA DG Rawal Khan Maitla were the chief guests on the occasion, who while appreciating talented youth, said they were the future of Pakistan and art organisations must help realise their artistic talents.
Tauqir Nasir said the PNCA under that project would hold a series of competitions of performing arts inviting students from twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Earlier in a singing competition, Jahangir Hassan of the Jinnah Preparatory School clinched the first position while Saima Kausar of the IMCG bagged second and Zainul Abedeen of the IMCB got the third position. All position holders were given shields by the chief guests.
