Mansha Yaad remembered

Mansha Yaad’s commitment towards literature remained unshakeable in his whole life. He initiated experiments in his short stories that reflect the spirit of the age. These experiments gave him a vision to understand the issues of his period more clearly.
These views were expressed by Masood Mufti, while presiding over a condolence reference for the late novelist, short story writer and intellectual. The event was arranged by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL). “Mansh Yaad found a midway between the traditional and modern styles of writing short fiction and adopted symbolism as a technique to narrate the story,” Mufti added.
Speaking on the occasion, Aslam Siraj-ud-Din said Muhammad Mansha Yaad had reached the heights of art of storytelling by his mastery over the narration of complex and complicated situations. He said Yaad’s stories took their raw material from and setting exactly from his surroundings. Khaleeq-ur-Rehman said Yaad was a progressive, liberal person and was against the trend of branding and discrimination of human beings because of their ideologies. Muhammad Hameed Shahid, Khaleeq-ur-Rehman and Farrukh Jamil, the son of deceased Mansha Yaad, also told the audience about the life and works of Muhammad Mansha Yaad.
