Eid-ul-Azha is around the corner but we don’t see many sacrificial animals around. Only a few years ago, everyone, especially the children, used to be very excited about these animals and loved to go to the cattle market with elders to buy cows, goats and sheep for sacrifice. They would also take their animals to the streets and neighbourhood to show them to others.
However, it seems that gone are those days when these activities happened as this year the prices of animals are so high that it has become extremely difficult for people to buy them.
The question that comes to mind is: who is sacrificing whom?
