The institution of FPSC has been suffering from stagnation ever since its former Chairman General (retd) Gulzar Kiyani passed away. Mr Kiyani had pledged to bring overhauling changes in the system of the Commission by granting five years general age relaxation as well as revising, modernising and consolidating the existing outdated and insipid syllabus of the CSS exam. Unfortunately, the untimely death of the visionary left the institution in orphanage. It is high time that the president and prime minister take note of it, and also the Chairman and members FPSC should spring back into action and bring about constructive and enlightened changes in the scheme and syllabus of the CSS exam, including and especially the enhancement of the age limit so that the despair and frustration of the motivated aspirants could be allayed without more delay.
