The government has appointed Mushtaq Shah, an officer of grade-21 of the Police Service of Pakistan, as the Sindh inspector general of police (IGP). The Establishment Division in Islamabad issued a notification No 12/17/81/E3 (Police) on Friday in this regard. Shah has previously served as the additional inspector general traffic, regional police officer Hyderabad, deputy inspector general (DIG) jail and DIG operations Karachi. Former IGP Wajid Durrani and additional DIG Karachi Saud Mirza have been directed to report to the Establishment Division.
