It is a well-known fact that cigarette smoking is injurious to the health as tobacco has numerous unwanted effects on human health. Everyone knows its harmful effects but it is hard to understand why people start smoking when they know that it is bad for them and others around them. This is a big and serious issue, especially among our youth. Young boys and girls smoke in their educational institutes and at public places without any fear from the concerned authorities.
The risk of having a heart attack in men and women increases with smoking. People who continue to smoke after having a heart attack have a higher risk of getting another one. Why doesn’t the government just stop the sales of cigarettes and tobacco? But then again, it would hurt our economy. Smoking cigarette is indeed a personal choice but in the long run it also affects the economy of the country. It should be banned as this economic loss can be absorbed by other sectors of the economy.
