The University of Lahore, Raiwind Road is only paying meager number of house officers salaries worth Rs 13,000 while the rest of are working for free, Pakistan Today has learnt. The negotiations between the YDA and Principal University of Lahore Dr Nazeer Aasi completely failed and the college administration refused to raise the salaries. Dr Aasi said he was a member of PMDC and was not bound to conform to the PMDC rules and regulations. YDA Pakistan Officers Dr Rana Sohail, Dr Salman Kazmi and Dr Talha Sherwani, gave a three-day ultimatum to the administration to announce a pay raise to equal the salaries of house officers, PGs, demonstrators and senior registrars to that of the government sector’s and demanded that the board of trustees terminate the Principal.
