Art lovers and collectors from various walks of life are flocking to an exhibition of calligraphic paintings by seven well-known Pakistani artists at the Revivers Galleria in Gulberg.
On display in the exhibition are as many as 48 selected calligraphic paintings of known artists Amjad Butt, Bin Qulander, Chitra Pretam, Mashkoor Raza, Mussarat Arrif, Riaz Rafi and Tariq Javed.
Quranic verses have been rendered in attractive colours on the canvas quite impressively by these artists, with oil and acrylic being the most popular mediums. Revivers Galleria Owner and Curator Sara Anjum said the public had shown great interest in the exhibition, adding that a number of calligraphic paintings had already been sold during the first few days of the exhibition, and negotiations to exhibit more calligraphic works were in progress.
She said the sold calligraphic paintings would be handed over to their respective buyers after the group exhibition concluded on the evening of October 25. Till then, they would remain on display at the Revivers Galleria.
