Corruption is the most challenging problem for Pakistani society today. NAB under the new chairman can play important role in stamping out corruption from the society and improving the national image before the international community. Following suggestions may be considered by authorities in this regard:
a) Depoliticise NAB by hiring professionals with unblemished record,
b) NAB officials with political links may be shown the door immediately,
c) NAB officials should cease to be civil servants,
d) Special pay scales for NAB officials
e) FIA should be disbanded and its work allocated to NAB,
f) FIA immigration officials should report to Interior Division,
g) PM Inspection Commission may be merged with NAB,
h) Strict accountability of NAB officials.
