Federal Interior Rehman Malik said that Shabaz Taseer was alive and was kept as hostage at Pakistan-Afganistan border area.
Couple of weeks earlier, Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanullah told reporters that Taseer’s kidnappers had been identified by a joint team of various agencies including the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) that was probing the matter. The names of the abductors were kept secret until their arrest.
