Notification for the appointment of Admiral Fasih Bukhari as chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been issued.
According to TV channels, President Asif Ali Zardari has signed the summary of appointment of Fasih Bukhari as NAB Chairman.
“As per NAB Ordinance, 1999, the Prime Minister advised the President of Pakistan to appoint Admiral (Rtd) Fasih Bokhari as Chairman NAB, after the consultation by the President with the Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition”.
Fasih Bukhari is a good choice. Even PML-N has not been able to point out any flaw in his person. Now, he should be allowed to work. NAB should not remain without a Chairman any more. If at all there are any minute technicalities involved, they should be ignored as long as the job is done.
Now, it is the responsibility of NAB to pursue corruption cases according to Constitution & Law across the board and nobody should be spared. None of the politicians should go unpunished nor bureaucrats and last, but not least, the businessmen and industrialists. The last two are basically the ones who reap most of the benefits of corruption. (By the way, I am an ordinary citizen and a small businessman and am fully aware of the filth in which my fellow businessmen are involved).
