Former Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, a close personal friend of President Asif Ali Zardari, after a few weeks absence has returned to Karachi.
He continued his attack on MQM and some members of the PPP government. He announced that he will soon take three suitcases of evidences to London to file a case against Altaf Hussain. Dr. Mirza did not agree with Supreme Court observation that Jamaat-e-Islami is involved in extortion. He declared that Sindh Governor House is a hub of the land mafia and home to illegal activities. He again denounced the federal home minister and the former law minister as a fake degree holder.
What is Dr Zulfiqar Mirza’s mission? What does he want to achieve by targeting the MQM and Altaf Hussain? Why is he not sparing even the PPP leaders? Who are those providing him with documentary evidence against MQM and PPP leaders?
Why the MQM, instead of replying to allegations of Dr Mirza, is asking the media not to promote and present his view on the TV channels? Every citizen has the right of freedom of expression. If Dr Mirza is implicating MQM and damaging its Quaid’s integrity with false allegations, the MQM should sue him for damaging their reputation or give a response.
It seems Dr Zulfiqar is trying to have all the political forces that are against MQM on one platform in Karachi.

Dr. ZM is basically Zardari's front man and his press conferences are based on the script provided to him by Zardari. The mission assigned to him is to keep MQM under perpetual pressure so that they extend all out support to PPP Govt. without demanding the restoration of City Nazim System. As for as his tirade against Rehman Malik is concerned it is again at the behest of Zardari who reportedly wants to extract from him BB's wealth accumulated as a result of her business partnership with R. Malik.
