The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Punjab Women Wing on Friday held a protest against power outages, price-hike and increasing fuel prices in front of the Lahore Press Club. PTI Punjab Women Wing President Saloni Bokhari led the demonstration while Dr Nousheen Hamid Miraj, Talat Naqvi, Shehnaz Parveen, Sadia Sohail, Ayesha Khalid, Aneela Malik along with dozens of activists also took part in the protest.
They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the government for not resolving serious issues such as energy crisis and inflation. The PTI leaders said that the masses were desperate, as they could not afford a single meal in the current circumstances. They accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leadership of plundering the nation. The PTI leaders said that incumbent rulers paid no taxes and transferred the burden of their luxurious lifestyle onto the poor masses.
