The government has spent millions of rupees in publishing ads in the print media on the above caption, justifying their stand and thinking that the masses are big fools and that they would buy the logic given by the government’s inefficiency and pathetic performance. One could only laugh and feel pity on them that they are not leaving any stone unturned due to their ‘master planning’ and foresight.
Unfortunately, the government only reacts after some event has happened, they do not have the capability to plan and they are not pro-active. The reasons given for the energy crisis are, inter alia, reduced water availability, high temperature for October, shortfall in fuel and gas supplies. What government wants to make us believe is that the temperature in October is more than the period May-August, non-availability of fuel/gas has been caused by the masses and the dams are not storing water at their full capacity at this time of the year.
In the same breath, the government has claimed the corrective measures ie, release of Rs 10 billion for additional fuel, increased gas supply and improvement in load management and most funny, redirecting fuel to most efficient power plants (presumably Benazeerabad and Multan).
The ad has also asked a question in the end as to who is responsible for the present power crisis. Definitely, it is not the government but the Taliban or may be RAW or perhaps Mossad. Come on, Mr Zardari, we thought that you were better than this.
