Lahore High Court Justice Umar Ata Bandial on Wednesday admitted two more petitions against LPG Policy 2011 and issued notice for October 12 to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). He referred the details of the case to LHC Chief Justice who was already hearing identical petitions on the matter, for fixing them.
The court passed the order on petitions filed by Petro LPG Limited and Awami LPG through Khawaja Ahmad Tariq Raheem impleading Petroleum Ministry and OGRA. Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel submitted before the court that the federal government on September 18, 2011 notified the LPG Policy 2011 without consulting the stakeholders including the LPG distribution companies.
