PASDEC arranges marble mosaic training

Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) has launched a series of marble mosaic and inlays training sessions to promote skill development and entrepreneurship culture amongst women. The program will generate opportunities of livelihood in remote and rural areas at economical cost of production. Mosaic is an art of decoration with small pieces of stone and renowned not only for its design and aesthetic beauty but also skillfulness of handiwork because each product is made by intricate handwork. Secretary Ministry of Production Muhammad Javaid Iqbal Awan witnessed different procedures of the training and finished marble mosaic products made by female trainees.
He said the marble mosaic training programs will help out women entrepreneurship and skill development culture and self employment opportunities in rural areas. He offered the full cooperation of Ministry of Production to help PASDEC to strengthen the cluster by providing required resources for production of high quality value added products of mosaic, inlays and handicraft so that enterprises and individuals of this cluster are more prepared to benefit from the available opportunities. CEO PASDEC, Ihsanullah Khan briefed the secretary about objective and importance of the training. He said the training will strengthen the cluster by providing skilled work force for production of value added products.
