Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi chief Afaq Ahmed was formally arrested by police on Thursday.
He was arrested after a witness identified Afaq Ahmed in a FIR related to a kidnapping lodged about ten years ago.
It may be mentioned here that Afaq was detained under the MPO (Maintenance of Public Order) after he was ordered to be released by a court in another case.
