The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) signed a contract with Dasu Hydropower Consultants for a joint venture to prepare a detailed engineering design and to supervise construction of the 4320-megawatt (MW) Dasu Hydropower Project. The joint venture comprises two renowned foreign and three local consulting companies – Nippon Koei (Japan), Dolsar Engineering (Turkey), Development and Management Consultants, National Development Consultants and Pakistan Engineering Services (Pakistan).
WAPDA General Manager (Hydro) Planning Husnain Afzal and Nippon Koei General Manager Overseas Consulting Yutaka Murai and Dolsar Engineering President Huseyin Irfan signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
