The boiling pot

It seems the patience of the public has been tested well over its limits. They have come out on streets, like the last year, to protest and in some cases, rioting against the damning loadshedding that has been imposed on the nation without any fault of their own.

I can bet my last penny that President, PM, CMs and the bunch of ministers and parliamentarians aside, even the MD/CEO LESCO would never have faced such a situation when their loved ones or they themselves have suffered this much long due to power shortage. How could they understand a commoner’s worries and problems if they have never gone through what the public have to face everyday?

If a big city like Lahore is facing more than 16 hours of loadshedding a day, I wonder what the situation would be in small towns and villages. On one side, they are increasing the electricity price almost every month and imposing new surcharges, on the other hand, there is severe loadshedding.

The ruling elite must show some prudence and keep it in mind that if the public comes on roads across the country to get their rights, this bunch will not find any place to hide.
