Activists of Sunni Tehrik protested on Sunday against the court’s verdict against Mumtaz Qadri who had confessed to the killing of former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer. Around 20 activists of Sunni Tehrik assembled in front of the Peshawar Press Club on Sher Shah Suri Road. They chanted slogans against the government, judiciary and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). The protesters blocked the road for traffic but dispersed after police arrived.
