Punjab government is reported to have planned to clamp a ban on Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital (SKCH) labs in Lahore in a knee jerk fashion which in fact did not materialise to the relief of all concerned.
Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital labs are providing a model service to public at moderate cost. SKCH labs are primarily meant for cancer patients but they provide modern scientific service to general patients. The government ought to appreciate the services rendered by SKCH labs in public interest instead of thinking to ban the labs.
In fact, the selfless leadership shown by Imran Khan in health and education sectors as also in flood relief measures is a shining example of social service to people.
I wish a leader of Imran’s calibre may be elected to be the next prime minister of Pakistan as he appears to be the only option left for the hapless people of this unfortunate country.
