The Executive Committee of the Vice Chancellors and Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Tuesday joined hands to provide financial and technical assistance to flood-affected universities of Sindh. The Executive Committee of the Vice Chancellors and HEC Executive Director Dr Sohel Naqvi held a meeting on Tuesday through video conferencing. The meeting was also attended by the vice chancellors of various public sector universities in Sindh.
The meeting reviewed the report of HEC monitoring team on the extensive damages caused by the devastating rains and decided that the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar would coordinate the visit of teams of experts from engineering universities to the rain-damaged varsities and provide technical support for rehabilitation of infrastructure.
