Changing scenarios

Change is not easily accepted especially in our society where tradition is held dearly. It is difficult to understand the global scenarios and keep a pace with them, without having an effect on our traditions and culture. These are testing times. Exposure to all information immediately leaves no room for prolonged deliberations, but a quick response is needed. Silence is taken as an acknowledgement that whatever is being said is correct also.
Secondly, it also reflects that the leadership and the nation are not prepared for any challenges. Delayed responses cannot overcome the physical and psychological damages already done. If we really want to go along with the international community on issues of mutual benefit, then a balanced approach needs to be adopted.
Keeping a broader perspective in view, where we have to reform our thoughts and change our attitudes and life style. The first responsibility lies with the leadership to keep an eye on what, when, why and how to handle various scenarios. The second responsibility is on the shoulders of all of us to perceive the good and bad and prepare ourselves to face it.
