A mentally challenged security guard of a private bank locked himself up in the bank’s room and fired bullets on the roof and the walls. The guard, identified as Javed Iqbal, originally from Sargodha, worked in Bank Alfalah’s Kot Abdul Malik branch near Shahdara. Fear gripped the bank’s vicinity when the gunshots were heard. Locals called the police, which had trouble getting in the room as Javed got more furious after seeing the police and allowed no one to enter. The police had to call the Elite Force, which finally pinned down the mentally challenged guard.
Later it was established that the guard had gone insane after his brother was murdered in Sargodha. The guard is from a private security agency.
