Sharman Joshi is all set to star in the sequel of hit film ‘Rock On!!’. The film which was a smash hit in 2009, was a story about four friends and the musical journey as a band. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and directed by Abhishek Kapoor, the film had Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny and Farhan in the lead. In the end of the film, Luke’s character dies. In the sequel, Sharman will reportedly play the fourth band mate.
A source said, “Sharman Joshi is extremely close to Farhan, since they have been school friends. Earlier, Sharman was offered a role in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ but somehow it did not work out. Farhan has wanted to work with him for a long time. It is only now that things have fallen into place and Sharman is finally a part of the ‘Rock On!!’ sequel.
