5 died from dengue in KP, Sindh on alert

The Health Services Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) issued facts and figures regarding dengue virus attack.
According to a press release, five patients died of dengue virus while 95 cases were confirmed out of 198 suspected cases in KP.
According to district-wise detail report, 19 patients in Abbottabad, 17 in Haripur, 9 in Mardan, 16 in Mansehra, 15 in Peshawar, 3 in Swat, 2 each in Shangla and Bunnu, 1 each in Batagram, Charsadda, Dir Upper, Kohat, Karak, Laki Marwat, Malakand, Nowshera, Torghar, Bajour Agency, Khyber Agency and FR Peshawar were confirmed cases.
Meanwhile, Sindh government issued directive under section-144 to close all swimming pools across the province as precautionary arrangements to prevent dengue outbreak which has infected over seven thousand people in Punjab.
According to directive, all pools in hotels, schools, farm houses and other places would be closed for 60 days.
Dengue erupted in Punjab and over 40 people have been died with the epidemic virus.
