The evil of beggary has pierced through the roots of our social life. It has taken the form of an industry. These days, it has become a regular occupation of many people in Karachi. There seem to be masterminds who run regular begging organisations. The begging problem in Pakistan has become complicated due to the fact that there is no check on this worthless job. It has declined the morale of the whole society. Some of them may be really deserving and poor but the majority is habitual beggars.
Practically, every railway station, bus station and market is crowded with them. Some of them are a great menace to public health as they carry infections on their bodies. The people must not encourage them. There are other ways of handing out charity.
