All Pakistan Public Transport Union (APPTU) announced that they will be staging a wheel jam strike daily for one hour against the continuing rise in CNG prices with no increase in the fare of public transport, and the demand of extortion money from drivers and conductors at various bus stops in the twin cities. This daily strike will continue for an indefinite period of time.
This decision was taken in an emergency APPTU meeting under the leadership of Chairman Hajji Zahur Araien.
