PPP prays for dengue and flood victims

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) offered special prayers for flood and dengue victims on Wednesday on appeal of President Asif Ali Zardari. PPP Zonal Offices in Lahore, like other parts of the city, arranged prayer services. The major prayer gathering was arranged at the Governor’s House where special dua was offered to seek God’s blessings against the dengue epidemic and devastation of floods in Sindh. Pir Syed Nazim Hussain Shah led the prayer seeking God’s help to make the country free from all sorts of troubles such as floods, terrorism and other natural calamities. Punjab Governor Latif Khosa, Punjab Opposition Leader Raja Riaz, PPP Punjab General Secretary Samiullah Khan, PPP Lahore President Samina Khalid Ghurki, PPP Lahore Women Wing President Faiza Malik, President Zardari’s Punjab Coordinator Naveed Chaudhry, PPP Punjab Deputy Parliamentary Leader Shaukat Basra, former Punjab labour minister Ashraf Sohna and PPP Lahore General Secretary Akbar Khan and a large number of PPP workers attended the prayer. A special prayer was also held at the Masjid-e-Shuhada by the PPP Lahore Wing, which was attended by all zonal presidents and a number of party workers. PPP Ulema Wing leader Badar Munir led the prayer seeking God’s blessing to alleviate the sufferings of the people who had faced unprecedented rains in Sindh and other parts of the country.
