Horribly and unbelievably, the law and order has worsened in the upper Sindh districts such as Shikarpur, Kambar/Shahdad Kot, Jacobabad, Kashmor/Kandhkot, Sukkur, etc. Kidnapping for ransom, which is chronic in Sindh province, has alarmingly increased with the induction of the new Home Minister Mr Manzoor Wasan.
From the worsening law and order and surging tribal conflicts it appears that the incumbent home minister has utterly neglected the districts in the lower and upper Sindh which make 90 percent of the total area of the province. He dreams and predicts about the peace-starved capital of the province Karachi only.
It is an undeniable fact that the police is capable enough to bring law and order situation under control but they are made handicapped by the feudal lords in the corridors of power and politics and hoodwinked by the promotee venal police officers in the department.
Is there anyone to tell the home minister of Sindh that actions speak louder than words? And one is always judged not by what he has been saying, dreaming or predicting but by what he has done practically and pragmatically to bring peace and order back to the area.
What a callousness of heart our rulers and political administration in Sindh have shown. This sinful behaviour is indeed lamentable.
