MQM demands ban on ANP

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has demanded a ban on the Awami National Party (ANP) for being a terrorist organisation.
According to a press release issued by the Nine Zero, members of MQM’s Coordination Committee Yousuf Shahwani, Gulfraz from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Lahore zonal in-charge Syed Shaheen Gilani, Ghotki zonal in-charge Noor Dian Zangi said ANP’s past was mere terrorism.
The people of the country know who was involved in terrorism in Pakistan with the help of Afghanistan and India, the press release said, adding that they knew well which organisation was banned in 1975 over allegation of terrorism. The MQM said ANP was a major terrorist organisation and involved in numerous murders in Karachi. It said the ANP should not only be banned, but all its leaders should also arrests and punished.
The leaders said MQM chief Altaf Hussain had clarified in his speech that Asfandyar Wali Khan received millions of US dollars and the people of the country were a witness to it. On the other hand, ANP central leader Zahid Khan said anyone who wished to get the party banned must contact the country’s courts.
