The protest rally was taken out by TNFJ district Islamabad Universal Yaum-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee Committee from Darbar Hazrat Sakhi Mahmood Badshah near Aabpara.
Speaking on the occasion, TNFJ District Council President Allama Basharat Hussain Imami said restoration of dignity of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moalla was an issue of not only the Muslim Ummah but also of the whole humanity. He said in 1924 the Saudi government demolished the graves which included the holy prophet (PBUH)’s daughter, wives and friends at Janatul Baqi. The protesters demanded the Saudi government restore the graves and urged the Pakistan government to formally make a request to Saudi Arabia in this regard. Tight security arrangements had been made to maintain law and order situation and avert any untoward incident. Besides, TNFJ volunteers escorted the protest.
