Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Sindh leaders have resigned from the Pakistan People’s Party-led Sindh cabinet following discriminatory attitude of the ruling party’s leadership. However, the resignations of the PML-Q ministers and advisers would be presented to PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain today (Wednesday), Pakistan Today has learnt. Talking to Pakistan Today, PML-Q leader Haleem Adil Sheikh said except President Asif Ali Zardari, no PPP leader was ready to address the genuine issues of the PML-Q in Sindh.
The chief minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has no time to meet PML-Q ministers and advisers, compelling the party’s Sindh leadership to tender resignation, he said. “I will personally hand over the resignations to Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain tomorrow, who will make final decision in this regard,” Haleem added. The decision was taken at the residence of PML-Q leader Aijaz Shah Sheerazi on Tuesday, in which all issues being faced by the ministers and advisers were discussed, he said, adding that reconciliatory politics was done only by the president, however, PPP local leadership was treating PML-Q discriminately.
Though, the PML-Q has been given ministries and adviser-ships in Sindh, due powers of governance could not be given to them, he said, adding that the PML-Q leadership was not taken on board the relief activities after the recent rain, which created serious difficulties for them in visiting their constituencies.
