The current CSS age limit restricts candidates from taking the civil services exam if they are over 28 years of age. It is appalling indeed in letter and spirit. This oppressive age limit is one of the last remnants of the Musharraf era and hence must be wiped out as soon as possible. I request the president, prime minister and chairman of the FPSC to raise the CSS age limit from 28 to 33 years.

The CSS restricted age limit imbroglio has been in limbo for the past many years for the authorities concerned to recognise and address; but due to unknown reasons, nobody at the helm of the government seems willing to cut this Gordian knot.
The CSS aspirants falling out of the age bracket are mostly belonging to the middle and lower classes of society because they are not financially secure enough to devote themselves to exam prep exclusively. In a third world country like Pakistan, rules and regulations for taking the Civil Services exam ought to be more flexible and lenient, so that candidates from all classes of the society could have equal representation in the country’s administration. Enhancing the age limit for the CSS exam will have a positive impact and yield benefits for the country in the short and long runs.
I request the Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani to extend the CSS age limit by 5 years so that talented and deserving candidates, especially those belonging to the middle and lower class, can play a role in their country’s progress and prosperity.

Difinitely, I endorse the views portrayed in the above paras. Css age limit must be increased by 5 years because it has been long that candidates have been suffering due to the stupid decision of musharraf to reduce age limit back in 2001.
I request prime minister to take notice and give relief to candidates.
I also support the point raised by the petitioners above. Civil services should be open for all and sundry, the elite should not keep it to themselves. If Asif Ali Zardari and Yusuf reza gillani are sincere rulers then they must take away the upper age limit because it restricts talent.
Long live pakistan!
Age should be relaxed
I fully agree with this opinion. Rather I suggest that the retirement age should be the only upper barrier for being inducted in the civil services. Ability matters, not age.
God, when will our politicians leave corruption and think out of their selfish motives to heed the demands of their people and their youth?
There should be no age limit for the talented people who want to remain in their country and serve their nation. Css age limit of 28 years is very cruel, oppressive. I condemn it and I request the President and Prime Minister to relax the upper age limit to 33 years at least.
Pakistan zindabad!
It really takes longer time for middle class and especially girls to take such exams. Age need to be relaxed for the upcoming exam.
Allah kare age relax hu jaey. Ppp kaisey people's ke party hai ju people ke sunti he nahe.
i personally request to examination authority of CSS ,that please relax the age limit upto 33 years,so that some unawared and competent candidates ,who had considered age limit up till 35 years for css exams, could take part in css exam.
As, being 30 years old lady, i want to take part in exams of css for 2012.please give some relaxation in age limit.
Asides from age limit the chances for attempting CSS must be increased from 3 to 5
Governament must relax the age limit minimum to 30 year
there must be age relaxation coz female face alot of hurdles in achieving their education…there must be a way that competitive people should come forward as age limitation decease this opportunity especially middle class…
Govt increase the age limite
THERE ARE INNUMERABLE REASONS IN SUPPORT OF THIS , AGE LIMIT WHICH WAS PREVIOUSLY IN VOGUE SHOULD BE REINTRODUCED TO AFFORD OPPORTUNITY OF THOUSANDS OF TALENTS YOUNGSTERS , ME TOO SUFFERED ON THIS COUNT !!!
