PTI Chairman Imran Khan has expressed shock at the revelations and accusations made by PPP leader Zulfiqar Mirza who is a close confidant of President Asif Ali Zardari.
According to the press statement issued on Sunday, the most serious allegations were those made against MQM chief Altaf Hussain which, if correct, amount to treason against the state of Pakistan, PTI chief said.
Mirza has accused the MQM chief of allying his party with the US in the latter’s alleged agenda of breaking up Pakistan.
He has also accused the MQM chief of lobbying with the UK leadership to finish off the ISI again a treasonable act if proven to be correct.
In view of these very serious allegations, Imran Khan has demanded: One, an immediate inquiry be set up to ascertain their veracity through a sitting judge of the Supreme Court.
Two, the government must respond to each and every accusation. Three, a thorough investigation has to be made into the allegations regarding the alleged plan by the US to break up Pakistan.
I would like to remind Mr Imran Khan that he attended a dinner in Manchester in 2002 organised by Pakistanis and he must have felt tremendous support from British Pakistanis for his campaign against the MQM in the wake of 12th May carnage in Karachi where nearly 50 men were slaughtered and scores injured in the daylight with the support of the then Home Minister of Sindh Waseem Akhtar.
The people also greatly appreciated IK's tireless efforts in preparing a detailed dossier showing the illegal activities of Altaf Hussain. That document is still lying unactioned in the custody of Scotland Yard.
It is very unfortunate that political expediency has let the thugs of the MQM off the hook and unfortunately Asif Zardari has no qualms in following such despicable policy of so called reconciliation.
I would appeal to Imran Khan to rise above political thinking and help the CJ of the Supreme Court who has, at last, noticed the precarious law and order situation created by one ethnic, linguist and fascist party.
What service did Zulfiqar Mirza did for the PPP for which he was favoured with sugar mills, factories and other properties by Benazir Bhutto and Asif Zardari. Mirza failed to inform the nation as to how he accumulated so much wealth in such a short period of time.
Mirza said that Saulat Mirza was sentenced by the Supreme Court but he forgot that the founding leader of his party Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was sentenced to be hanged till dead by the same Supreme Court. It is strange that Mirza and his party accept the judgements of the Supreme Court when it suit them only. Other wise they openly ridicule.
Mirza accused the MQM of corruption. But he could not point out a single corruption case against any MQM leader. He forgot that there are score of cases pending in various courts of Pakistan and foreign countries which have not been decided as yet.
Mirza accused the MQM of benefiting from the infamous NRO. What about his own political party? Every leader of the PPP worth the name is tainted with NRO. Why did he forgot to tell their names as well in the same breath.
Mirza forgot that his mentor Asif Ali Zardari is himself accused of various murder charges. Justice Nizam and his son were killed in broad day light. Did Mirza make any inquiry about it?
Murtaza Bhutto was killed in Karachi and Asif Zardari was directly accused. Ghanwa Bhutto and Fatima Bhutto hold him responsible for the murder. One of the killer Wajid Durrani has been made Inspector General Police of Sindh. Another Shoaib Suddle was also amply rewarded for his services.
Mirza forgot that his mentor Asif Zardari is known as Mr 10 per cent around the world. Not any leader of the MQM has this unique distinction.
Mirza is very boastful about his ancestors but I would ask Mirza to inquire about the ancestors of mentors as well. Shahnawaz Bhutto, father of Z A Bhutto conspired with the British and handed the state of Junagarh to them against the desire of the people and the Maharaja.
It is a perfect case of kettle calling the pot black. But most of the people will listen with relish because the representative party of the Urdu-speaking is being maligned. They have never accepted us as the true citizens of Pakistan and today's harangue by Mirza has proved it beyond doubt that the Two Nations theory was a big fraud committed against the Muslims of the minority provinces of India.

Shahnawaz Bhutto was the person who prepared documents for accession of Junagarh with Pakistan (Read Stanely Wolpert's book ZULFI BHUTTO OF PAKISTAN).
