CSS aspirants

The fate of thousands of CSS aspirants has been in limbo for so long now. With the dawn of 2011, Director FPSC had clarified in this newspaper that they would come clean, and make public the new syllabus and age policy of the commission as soon as possible but even after the lapse of 8 long months, the CSS aspirants are in the dark regarding new syllabus, selection criteria and the most demanded upper age limit relaxation.

Recently, a new article confirmed that the FPSC had approached the government for extending the age limit for the CSS exam by five years, and that the Establishment Division was very keen to get it signed it from the Prime Minister.

That is the only good news the CSS aspirants heard after a long time of endurance and patience. It is high time that the FPSC do something for the aspirants who are looking up to it for their legitimate rights. I request the Chairman FPSC, Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas and Director FPSC to shine light over their agenda and harbour no secrets from the nation and make their stance known to the nation as soon as possible.

  1. Yeaahhhhh Fpsc must come forward and do something for the candidates. Justice Rana bahgwandas, chairman fpsc, is proving a disappointment for the candidates. He has brought no change, doing nothing to alleviate the grievances of css aspirants. Students expect a lot from him. He should come out withour fear for the legitimate rights of the css aspirants. We need age relaxation by 5 years so that competition gets enhanced and so that only the best can be selected and serve their country.

  2. Chairman Fpsc Rana Bahgwandas has been so lazy and inefficient in addressing the grievances of Css aspirants. Extension in css age limit has been demanded for so long but Bhagwandas sahb is as good as dead, he is doing nothing, only enjoying the privileges and perks of being the chairman of the commission. If he can’t deliver, he should just resign for the goodness of this country.

I strongly condemn his inaction and ineptitude regarding the relaxation of the age limit.

Age limit in css should be immediately set at 33 years, I request prime minister and president.

  3. Regards. I think the step taken by Musharraf hasn’t added to the glory of the institution of FPSC rather diminished its lights. And if age is relaxed, no Financial harrassment is there for the Government. In fact chances of providing more competence into the ranks of Civil Servants are increased. The Government must do it and Rana Bhagwan Daas sahib is surely doing his honour’s best. Noteworthy, it is he who strived in our way by taking initiative.

  4. No I don’t agree, Bhagwandas is nothing but a mere puppet playing in the hands of president and prime minister. If that were not so then he should have taken concrete steps by demanding the age relaxation from the prime minister, but he seems scared like a mouse because he knows that president will dismiss him if he heard his voice.
We need some army General or a retired Civil servant to run the institution of fpsc. This rtd justice can’t do anything, he has disappointed us all by his inaction and laziness.
