LDA to hold auction for sale of plots in Johar Town

Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on September 10 is holding an open auction of plots allocated to the building of a superstore and a five-star hotel in the finance and trade centre in Johar Town Lahore. The sale of these plots had earlier been planned for August 23 by LDA.
The finance and trade centre has been allocated 1,123 kanals of land by LDA and is situated near Expo Centre, Johar Town. Out of this land, 90 kanals have been allocated to the superstore, 114 kanals to a five-star hotel, 69 kanals to a bank square, 27 kanals to a health club, 25 kanals to a hospital, five kanals to a mosque, 75 kanals to a recreational area, 32 kanals to a parking-lot and mini golf club, 42 kanals to a park and lake, 40 kanals to multi-storey apartments, eight kanals to a service area and 388 kanals to roads.
LDA has allocated a sum of Rs 500 million for construction of the infrastructure of the finance and trade centre and has decided to relax building by-laws for the construction of high-rise buildings in the finance and trade centre. LDA will frame special building regulations for its finance and trade centre. Work on the project will be initiated after getting a No Objection Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority.
