Dengue patients in the city reached 273 from 42 last week while the total number of patients infected this year reached 323 in Punjab. According to the Punjab Health Department, 48 patients tested positive on Saturday across the province. One case each was reported at Faisalabad and Jhelum while all 46 others were reported in Lahore. Around 26 cases were diagnosed at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, four at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and one each at General Hospital and Shalimar Hospital. Rest of the patients were diagnosed at private health establishments. Only 12 patients needed hospitalisation while the rest were discharged after diagnosis.
