Tuition centres and academies are opening up in every nook and corner of the country. Students of intermediate, matriculations system, O Level and A Levels are mostly their target market because students want to get good marks in these exams which ensure their success in future.
This rapid increase in the number of tuition centres is an indicator of some problem in our education system. Our institutions are not working efficiently, that is why students go to such places to cover up their deficiencies.
From morning till late in the evening a student has to stay away from home. They leave for school and colleges in the morning and then they have to attend lectures in the tuition centres.
A student struck in this situation has no time to relax or rest. This affects health and academic performance. Parents on the other hand have to pay at two places for the child so that he secures good grades.
However, the people involved in this business, the teachers and professors, are earning a lot. They teach at colleges and these academies. In some cases, their lectures in academies are better than the ones in college.
The students have no choice but to go to their academies. Some cannot manage studying at two places. As a result their grades are not good. There are students who cannot afford double transport charges and tuition fees. If the teachers work honestly, they can save the future of many children.
