The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Karachi, Saud Mirza has warned police officials to arrest the target killers or go home.
Chairing a high-level meeting here at central police office on Thursday, CCPO said that target killers were roaming around freely in Karachi while police force is doing nothing.
DIGs, SSPs and SPs participated in the meeting. The meeting reviewed deteriorating situation of law and order in the city.
CCPO said no action has been taken against the target killers and other miscreants whose list and action orders against them were issued earlier.
Mirza said that out of 100 arrested target killers 96 were arrested by CID. He further said time has come to work without any kind of pressure. He directed the officials concerned to remove SSPs or SHOs if they were reluctant to work and unable to restore law and order in the city.
Those who have been inducted in the Police services on the recommendations of any Political or Religious parties must immediately be dismantled and questioned about each and every person about their affiliations. Bring in new recruits totally on merit basis with good family backgrounds. Try to induct those whose parents are born in the province of Sindh. See the results and all will be clear.
