Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA) officials celebrated the Independence Day with national zeal in the length and breath of the country. The main ceremony in this regard, was held at WAPDA Auditorium, WAPDA House, Lahore. WAPDA Chairman Shakil Durrani was the Chief Guest, who accompanied by Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) Managing Director Rasul Khan Mahsud unfurled the national flag. Then, students belonging to various WAPDA schools and the participants sung the national anthem.
The students enthralled the ceremony with their milli naghmas. Speeches delivered by the selected students, highlighted the importance of freedom, and responsibilities to safeguarding this blessing.
