Heirs of Lyari building collapse victims given cheques

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah distributed compensation cheques among the families of Lyari building collapse victims at the Chief Minister’s House on Friday.
Agriculture Minister Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Irrigation Minister Jam Saifullah Dharejo, MPA Saleem Hingoro, PPP Karachi President Najmi Alam, General Secretary Saeed Ghani, Waqar Mehdi, Qasim Baloch, M Siddique Abu Bhai, Sindh Board of Revenue senior member Chazar Shamon, Karachi DCO Muhammad Hussain Syed and Secretary to the Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo were also present on the occasion.
The chief minister expressed deep grief and sorrow on the demise of ill-fated victims and assuring their heirs that would be looked after by the government. Karachi DCO informed that 32 people were killed and 14 injured in the building collapse.
The chief minister handed over cheques to Sultan, Muhamamd Siddique, Muhammad Hussain, Yaseem Farooq, Muahmmad Yousuf, Muhammad Yousaf, Abdul Ghafoor, Abdul Aziz and Faisal.
The remaining compensation cheques were distributed by MPA Saleem Hingoro among the heirs of 22 victims and 10 injured person at the office of the Karachi DCO.
