A month later, the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) logo has made a comeback and replaced the emblems of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and Karachi Development Authority (KDA) in official documents.
On July 9, after a period of almost ten years the Sindh government revived the commissionerate system in the province and, accordingly, the City District Government Karachi’s (CDGK) logo was removed from the official documents; but now,
After the revival of the commissionerate system, the website of then defunct CDGK also remained in place. After a few days, three icons including that of KDA, KMC and CDGK appeared at www.karachicity.gov.pk. However, the links of KDA and KMC were blank and displayed the short message of ‘Under Construction’ but the link for CDGK was working and contained outdated information, with pictures, press statements and messages from ex-city nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal dominating the web portal.
Interestingly, soon after the restoration of local government system in the province, the icons of the KMC and the KDA were removed within few hours but the website is still outdated and contains no new information for the visitors.
