The All Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association (APOTOA) Chairman Haji Akram Durrani on Friday demanded the government to ensure safety of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO’s) oil tankers and threatened stopping supply of oil products if the snatched oil tankers were not recovered within twenty four hours.
Durrani told reporters at the Quetta press club that drivers of NATO oil tankers were being kidnapped but the administration had stayed apathetic. He said several drivers had been killed in attacks on NATO oil tankers and law enforcement agencies had failed to arrest the culprits.
He said the miscreants had kidnapped eight oil tankers with drivers during the last two months and the situation had created insecurity among the drivers. Members of the APOTOA also staged a protest demonstration at the Quetta press club, urging the government to fulfil their demands.
