Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) FM Radio 92.4 on Tuesday started a special transmission, ‘Complaint Cell’, to take note of public problems, and ensure their resolution on an immediate basis.
Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik directed officials of Islamabad Police to set up the complaint cell at ITP FM Radio so that problems of the masses could be resolved on priority, a press statement said.
Malik said ITP FM Radio 92.4 was playing an important role in educating citizens on traffic rules and regulations. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan on Tuesday joined the first transmission of Complaint Cell.
He received 25 live calls from citizens, informed them about the exclusive transmission, and also assured them of the swift resolution of their problems after listening to them in detail.
Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Moeen Masood, SP Traffic Mir Vais Naiz, Program Coordinator ITP FM Radio Ayesha Jameel, and other senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
The IGP shared various security measures which have been taken in the city for the safety of the citizens, including special police pickets, halting points, and the deployment of personnel at entry-exit points and shopping centres during Ramadan.
The IGP said the FM Radio project was already benefiting citizens, as it had raised awareness among them about traffic rules. Moreover, it would help control road accidents; promote the concept of safe driving among people, and ensure resolution of public problems through effective policing. The IGP said people could lodge their complaints at this cell without any hesitation and every possible effort would be made to solve them and ensure concrete steps for effective policing.

Subject: Application against Demand of extra-fare and misbehave with the local passenger.
Respected Sir,
I report to you as a common person that I am a Passenger of Public transport and for travelling use the private transport of public services " Wagon".
Today I sat in the Wagon No. IDS – 9202 from Bhara-Khu Islamabad to GPO Islamabad. the conductor demanding the fare Rs.25 for the Stop of GPO Islamabad which is unfair.
Before the 5th November- 2014 the fare taken by the waggoner's/transporters was Rs.22/- but now the fare was changed of all routes wagons in the Rawalpindi & Islamabad city.
But the above noted Vehical/Wagon staff is charging the extra fare which is not a good sign in the Capital area. when i protest against the extra fare demand the the conductor Misbehave me and threat me that i put you down from the wagon after getting the fare of running place(Thokri da Karaya dy, Me ten gadi tu la dewan) or give me the full fare which is Rs.25/-
I demanded the fare -list the Driver of said vehical steering me and if you not give the full fare as the driver demanding " Ten Jaan ni dewan ga". Due to this hard discussion, Other passengers involved otherwise they may be beaten me. All the passenger demanded the fare list in my case then checked the fare was Rs.22/- in the fare-list which was issued on 04-02-2013.
So, Please take a serious action against the Driver and Conductor due to their Misbehave and demand of extra fare as soon as possible for the betterment of the system. In this regard my request to you that please issue the immediate order for the pasting of fare-list sticker interest of public farewell at the mirrors of all the wagons windows or at the front mirror lest hand side for peaceful travelling.
