Hot and humid weather prevailed in the provincial metropolis on Sunday. Met office informed on Sunday that hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country today. However, isolated rain and thundershower is expected in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara, Mirpur Khas divisions, Kashmir and adjoining areas.
Met Office also informed that isolated rain with thundershower occurred at a few places of Kashmir and adjoining areas. Seventeen millimeters of rain was recorded in Dir, 13 mm in DI Khan, 10 millimeters in Garhi Dupatta and 6 millimeters in Parachinar. Moreover, 72 percent humidity was recorded on Sunday morning in Lahore while 47 percent was seen in the evening.
Maximum temperature recorded in the city touched 39 Celsius whereas the minimum temperature was 27 Celsius. Citizens were unable to make the most of the last Sunday before Ramazan due to the hot weather, as activity stayed dull in parks and Zoo.
