Nine corpses including that of four women and four young girls have been fished out of the Ubal Wah Lake in the past two week. Almost all of them bore marks of torture.
Four of these deceased were identified as Zahida Rind, Tasmina Lodaro, Sumera Bardi and Ijaz Metlu. The rest of them could not be identified and were buried in different local cemeteries.
Police ‘confirmed’ that Zahida Rind had drowned while she was swimming and Tasmina Lodaro had committed suicide over a domestic issue. Tasmina was said to be a student of matriculation. A panic has gripped the area after the recovery of nine bodies within two weeks.
