Club beat Kinnaird Club by
65 runs in the Kinnaird College Independence Day sports festival cricket match at the college
ground on Tuesday.
CLC scored 130 for five. Faryal Awan (34), Farah Naeem (31) and Sadra Amin (21) were the prominent scorers of CLC Club. Kinnaird Club’s Sana Mir took three wickets while Hina Azam took one wicket.
In reply, Kinnaird Club could only score 65 in 18.4 overs. CLC Club’s Faryal Awan grabbed five wickets while Elizabeth took two wickets.
Earlier, Kinnaird Club defeated Ravi Club by six wickets in the opening match. Ravi Club scored 89 in 20 overs with Bishma making 28 and Nimra getting 21. Sana Mir and Nida Dar shared three wickets each from Kinnaird Club. In reply Kinnaird Club achieved the target for the loss of four wickets. Sana was the top scorer with 46 not out. Apart from cricket, competitions were being held in basketball, table tennis, swimming, badminton and hockey as well at the KC grounds.
According to Organising Secretary Nausheen Hanif, the prize distribution ceremony of the festival will be held on July 28 at 5pm and Zarai Taraqayati Bank President Zaka Ashraf will be the chief guest.
